If you haven't heard already, game freak director was on Pokemon direct broadcasted worldwide yesterday. They released more news about the upcoming Pokemon X & Y.
I thought they mega evolution was only for the ones they showed at the worlds but I guess not since they announced the mega evolution for Blastoise, Charzard, and Venusaur. Ohhh baby they are too cool! I love the design for mega Charzard but I'm pretty said for Venisaur's design. He/ she got a bigger flower palm tree, hurray? And don't get me started about Blastoise. It looks like he/ she just got a little older with that goatee going on in the front and a ridiculously longer cannon that can shoot up to 6 miles. LOL! WHAT! Can he/she clean my car please? Other then that, they do look pretty darn cool.
The new abilities that they gain from mega evolution will be:
Mega Venasaur: "Thick fat"= protection from fire and ice attacks
Mega Charzard: "Drought"= increase fire type moves
Mega Blastoise= "Mega launcher"= makes moves such as water pulse and dark pulse stronger
They also elaborated on the theory about how mega evolution happens in the game. Firstly, the trainer will have to wear a Mega Ring on their wrist and the second requirement will be a Key Stone which the Pokemon will have. Once those two requirements are met, the trainer will trigger the process by pressing the button on their Mega Ring and mega evolution will happen. Keep in mind that mega evolution is only temporary!

Another exciting feature that they offer now is called the "Poke transporter" which allows player's to transfer Pokemons from other generation from other games (black and white) into a Pokemon bank. Think iCoud for Apple products but Nintendo Pokemon. This, on the downside, cost money. You can store up to 3,000 Pokemon. The app is free to download but the service will cost you money. Hopefully it is something around $10 a year or something. That amount I would be happy with since most of their target kids and they ain't balling. Unless you really are ballin' then congratz to you. I'm sure not LOL.

Hehe I looked it up and it is (from left to right) Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin. There are too many Pokemon species and Pokemon names okay! Don't yell at me :(.
CLASSIC TRIO OF BLUBASAUR, CHARMANDER and SQUIRTLE! Yes you get two starter Pokemons in this game! WHAT! I'm pretty much mind blown already, they are going to give me a heart attack with all this awesomeness~
So how it is will work is, in the beginning of the game, you will be choosing between Froakie, Fennekin and Chespin. Later on, you will be receiving your second starter from Professor Sycamore.
While we are on the topic of mega evolution, can we talk about this MEGAAA EVOLVED SUSHI! HAHA. Oh my goodness it looks so darn good.
Anyways, this is pretty much it that I got from the Pokemon Direct. Hopefully I didn't miss anything. The official release date for the game will be October 12, 2013. I'm super excited and most likely I will be purchasing the game since it seems too awesome to pass up now!
