Plasma Blast Solar Strike Theme deck opening

I know I know.  It's been about two weeks since Plasma Blast has come out.  I get it.  I'm late LOL.  Better late then never? Anyways here is one out of the two theme decks that always come out when a new set is released.  This collection contains solar strike featuring Volcarona and Mind Wipe featuring a non-EX Genesect.  Out of the two, this Solar strike is the one people are running to right now and I can see why.  As for the price, these go for $15 in big retailers such as Wal-Mart or Toys R Us but comic book store prices vary and usually is actually cheaper too!

For those who live in my area in Vancouver, here are the prices I have seen:
Sakura Media $12.99
Metropolis Comics and Toys $11.99
Connection Games $10 for Mind Wipe and $18 for Solar Strike (why such a big difference...)
Core games in Richmond does not carry it as of this moment.

I actually really like this theme deck's packaging.  It is sparkly! Oohhh.  I always love Pokemon's packaging since it is eye catching and the art work is right on point.

Nintendo 2DS?!?! Seriously?

I don't know exactly what to think when i saw this on my Facebook page from my local Pokemon fan page upload.  I thought it was a joke but it isn't.  I don't get it at all......Just why?
Where do I start?  Okay.  First of all, I don't see who would want to buy this....this thing!  Its so ugly!  It looks just like the 3DS but it can't fold in half and it is chunky.  It is flat.......and the screen is smaller then the 3DS.  Just why would anyone down grade their product.  It is cheaper then the 3DS but there is no way I would spend $129.99 for something so useless.
I hope they didn't spend too much time to develop this.  I would actually be really surprised if this turns popular when it comes out on October 12, 2013, the same date as when Pokemon X & Y comes out. I don't know, i'm still laughing out loud in my head about this device. :S

Plasma Blast Elite Trainer Box Opening

On August 14, Plasma Blast was finally officially released and I just couldn't want to get my hands on those elite trainer boxes! They seemed so awesome and it was almost the same price as going to a prerelease at my town which is $35 and the elite trainer box is $40 but it includes a lot more stuff.
In this collection's elite trainer box, there was a lot more stuff including:

-8 booster packs (1 more compared to Plasma storm elite trainer box)
-four Genesect card dividers
-65 count Genesect plasma blast card sleeves
-40 basic energy cards; 5 of each element
-acrylic special condition marker for burn and poison
-trainer box
-collector's box
 Side view of the packaging.

Prices in Vancouver that I have seen:
Sakura Media $40 (the cheapest!)
Metropolis comic and toys $39.99
Core games $42
Connection games $48.50 tax included (I overpaid since I wanted it on the day it was released and I thought not a lot of places sell it since when I wanted the Plasma storm one, I did not see any stores carrying it).
Toys R Us $49.99 (WHAT THE HECK LOL, NO!)

News on the next Black and White expansion

I was so damn excited when I saw this in my YouTube subscription box today.  It is the released pictures of the upcoming new addition to the Black and White series.  What is it called you asked? LEGENDARY TREASURES! OMG! LOL am I the only freaking out here?
*Credits for pokecollection*.  If you would like to see the original video, click here.

It looks sooo cool but I don't know why, are they promoting it with Genesect? I think it is just me since Plasma Blast's collection is pretty much all about the Virizion and Genesect.  Hopefully I don't get sick of that Pokemon.  I do understand why everyone wants that card.  It's ability is amazing :D.

Vancouver Pokemon Worlds Goodies

Since it was my first time going to a World championship, I didn't exactly know what to expect but hoping I could get some goodies.  I was so scared that I would have to spend more then $300 but thank god, I only spend around $100.  YEY :D.  I was surprised with the prices actually!
As you can see, plushies were $15 or less.  I was so expecting them to be $50+ since I saw in Jwittz's nationals vlog that a plushie was $50.  I was like da heck! But they were cheappp.  The rule at the retail store was that worlds merchandise such as deck box, play mat, binder, etc. was one per person each and the plushies was BUY AS MANY AS YOU WANT!  There was a "lifesize" pikachu, minccino and emolga for $30 which wasn't half bad either but I have no use for plushies. :/.  I really wanted the pouch but they ran out by the time my butt got there.

Pokemon Worlds at Vancouver 2013 Day 2 and X & Y special announcement

The second day I woke up on time! Finally :D.  I was pretty tired from day one since I was lining up most of the time to play in the card game tournament.  Nonetheless, I woke up on time and got onto the skytrain around 8:30 am.  By the time I got there, I found out that they chopped the venue in half.  WHAT THE HECK!  Especially when it is the semi finals and 90% of the people were there to watch the semi-finalist play.  It was so dang crammed....why.
I have to admit, I went on the second day because I wanted to do the side events and get cool stuff again but they didn't exactly have the side event booth and I couldn't even find the little cards.  So I thought they weren't doing them anymore but then later in the day, I would see people holding fresh sheets and I was like what the hey!  I couldn't find any after because they ran out.  WHAT? POOP.

I did enjoy watching the video game semi finals.  The audience was so excited about everything, even I who didn't know what was happening was cheering like we won the finals in hockey back in the Vancouver winter Olympics :D. Brendan Zheng from the juniors division was amazing! Him against Japan. It was a clean game, he O.K-ed every pokemon that came his way.
While everyone was still watching the tournaments  I went out to look around and saw people lining up for something.  I wasn't with my boyfriend at the time since he still didn't come from church with his family so I just said what the heck and lined up.  Lucky me, the line up was still pretty short and it grew pretty quickly.  The line up was actually for the autographing sessions going on for the CEO of Pokemon, Tsunekazu Ishihara.  They didn't get through many people, many about 50 since Mr. Ishihara was taking his sweet sweet time LOL.

Pokemon Worlds at Vancouver 2013 Day 1

Welcome to my new little Pokemon blog.  I recently got back into Pokemon and am pretty much obsessed now.  Like any other 90's kids, Pokemon was a big part of my childhood.  I wasn't old enough to understand how to play the game or the value of it back then but I knew it was super popular and remembered going to the biggest Japanese super market where I lived and the little Pokemon stand was crazy popular.

I finally re-watched the Pokemon anime a year ago, and yes all 500+ episode.  So many T_T. I know there are way more now but I don't remember what episode I wanted a year ago. I never played the TCG game when I was a kid but I suddenly was obsessed with the Pokemon cards since they were selling them at the dollar store 5 for $1.  We pretty much spend $150 each me and my boyfriend.  NUTS!

Conveniently Pokemon World championships was at Vancouver this year! WOW.  It is the first time that it was being held outside of USA.  I love Vancouver for the first time for doing something cool! WHOOO.  Of course I didn't want to miss the moment so I went with my boyfriend and his friend.
The opening ceremony was at 9:00 am (Aug. 10, 2013) and they said there would be a big announcement for the X and Y 3DS game coming out on October 12.  We didn't make it since we got there at 9:30 am.  Oh well. But we did see something crazy called A RIDICULOUSLY LONG LINE UP!.  WHAT ON EARTH! We thought we had to line up to get up but it was really for the retail store which was tiny by the way and they didn't have much selection either.  Thank god I wear long pants and a thin jacket because the line up went from the inside of the convention center to the other convention center. We waited in line for 1 hour and 45 minutes.  What on earth Pokemon ... you need to fix this!  But we choose the right time to line up since not too long after they sold out of the play mats and folders and so on and so forth.
Line up in Starbucks in a tiny room too? POO!
While my boyfriend was waiting in line, I thought I would buy us a drink and saw this cute little thing on their chalkboard.  So festive :D.
